 Demons' Courageous Coastal Challenge
Filed by:  Ian

Over the weekend Nimbin Demons played top AFL team, Ballina, at home.

Scores were: Nimbin 5g-8b, 38p LOST to Ballina 38g-10b, 138p. Nimbin started well & were leading half way thru the first quarter, but from then on they fell in a heap.

Nimbin's best players were: Chris Frangos (3 votes) (This was new recruit Chris's first game! so well done Chris Frangos), Will Alexander 2 votes, & Andy Walker 1 vote. Goals for Nimbin came mostly from our rover Billy Walker, (who also missed a few too).

This game was especially memorable for Chris Hellyer, as it was his 150th game. Chris entered the game breaking thru a colorful banner. Tragically however Chris left the ground in the 3rd quarter with a broken collar bone, from a legitimate hip & shoulder bump.

Next week there will be no home & away games, but there will be a representative game, of our Summerland League vs Tamworth League. Four Nimbin players have been selected for the team. They are: Billy Walker, Will Alexander, Josh Mapstone, & Zen Novak. The game starts 2pm @ Ballina.
