Strop's Hotel has been sold

Byron Bay's iconic Beach Hotel, owned by Paul Hogan's mate John 'Strop' Cornell has been sold for $65 million.

The Van Haandel Brothers from Melbourne have bought it, after they promised Strop they'd keep it the same.

 Demons Trounced

Last weekend was a big one for the Nimbin Demons AFL club, as they hosted a home game against Lismore down at our Showgrounds. Unfortunately we got trounced with Nimbin scoring 5 goals to Lismore’s 20 odd.

Nimbin’s best players were Grant Treloar, Bill Walker & Rod Harrison.

Nimbin have a couple of byes due to Mardi-Grass (in coming weeks) & their next match is not till the 12th May at Casino.
