Nimbin icon, Old Ken, has died.

People would remember Old Ken, with his long beard & calm attitude, who used to sit in front of the Suzuka South American shop, drinking Cascade Light, & offering passers-by stories & a pick from his homemade pack of cards containing snippets of wisdom he had gained during his life.

Ken was found this Thursday morning, & passed away peacefully in his sleep during the night.

Although on the outside Ken looked healthy for his age, he recently had heart trouble & operations.

In an earlier period of his life Ken had been a Vietnam veteran. This had not been good for his health either.

Goodbye to Old Ken. Nimbin will miss you.

Nimbin Demon's AFL player Zen Novak plays his 50th game this Saturday . This is quite an achievement, especially considering Nimbin's absence from the league last year.

The Demons are playing at home, down at our Showgrounds in Cecil st.
